NFL Betting – Patriots, Steelers Among AFC Teams That Should Finish Strong

As we enter the final few weeks of the NFL regular season, the time has come for the contenders to separate themselves from the pretenders and make their run at a playoff position. While the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers have provided themselves with some cushion in the NFC, the AFC divisional races remain wide open, with the two games between the New England Patriots and the rest of the AFC East the biggest gap in the conference. That outlook will change over the next few weeks, and it will be important to have money down when it does for the chance to win big.

The Patriots haven’t been able to break away from the rest of the sports betting division as they have in past years, and while part of that has been a weak secondary that has hurt the defense, part of their struggles has had to do with the opponents they have faced. Considering that New England does not have another team left on their schedule that currently has a winning record, they should be a lock to finally make their move. While the same can be expected for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North now that they will not have to face the Baltimore Ravens again, it may be a good idea to stay away from the NFC West, which has been as unpredictable as they come with the rise of Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. A favorable schedule should lead to the New Orleans Saints living up to their potential if you want to venture over to the NFC, but in the AFC the Patriots and Steelers should be pay head locks to finally pull away.
