MLB Betting – Blue Jays Looking To Put Together Pieces For Future

Hovering just above the .500 mark for the regular season, and at about the same pace over their past 10 games, the Toronto Blue Jays have been the definition of mediocre this MLB betting year. With the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox once again dominating the American League East picture, don’t expect for that to change anytime soon as the team from north of the border looks to build towards the future. Toronto has made a couple of key moves over the past month to bring in some key players and get an early look at them as they look to move closer to contention next season, and that is why they should stay around the .500 mark for the rest of the year.

The decision to bring up youngster Brett Lawrie was clearly a no-brainer, and the Canadian kid has produced so far with the second-best average on the team at .310. If Lawrie can continue to produce at that rate right behind slugger Jose Bautista, the Blue Jays’ will have one of the most powerful one-two sports bettingpunches in the league. Factor in Adam Lind behind the two of them, and the power aspect is taken care of, even if the team’s newest acquisition doesn’t pay off in Kelly Johnson. The team has big plans for Colby Rasmus if he can put together his game on the Blue Jays’ roster, but for the remainder of the year it should be a battle of consistent inconsistency for Toronto.
